Two Flints!

We are working in the garden already this morning. Trowels in hand and a sifting of soil with planting, is in progress. “Lord I love you. Teach me today, guide me, open and close my mouth over this the Center of My Garden and the whole garden. Lord what shall I ask, what shall I know?” “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for wisdom, and emotional stabbilty, and spiritual clarity.” This I do right away. “Do not defend yourself, just follow my lead and keep working with me, intimately.” “Yes Lord, will you help me and keep me from distractions!” “Yes my love.” He puts his trowel down and reaches over to embrace me. What are we planting in the garden today? Roses and can we plant peonies too?” “Yes and yes!” “Beautiful, thank you!”

Just as Isaiah 50:7 says I have made my forehead like flint, to stand against the enemies of God and not cave to their ways or fear them, Zechariah 7 also speaks of flint. This is an improper way of setting another part of the body like flint, though. The people set their hearts like flint against God, his people, and his ways. Verse 11 says “But they refused to heed, shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears so that they could not hear. May we have the courage and proper fear to do the first, I know I am setting my forehead like flint, but I have sought the Master Gardener’s help in removing stony hard places in my heart. Two flints which will you choose?
