  • I Still Believe!

    I Still Believe!

As I enter closer into the Center of my Garden I sprint the rest of the way straight into the arms of Jesus! We are smiling and laughing! It is so good to be embraced by him. We share a greeting. “Lord,” I say, “What do you have for us today?” A butterfly goes past us as we speak. “Let us bring in the sheaves today!” “The sowing has been worth it Lord! I release the pain!” “Indeed it has been! All is well!” “Yes Lord, and I still Believe!” He smiles.

What is the most impactful for me today is the above statement that I still believe. What a good work he is doing in me and what a wonder I am becoming, I believe you are too!

  • Just the Beginning!

    Just the Beginning!

Today I am walking in the outer part of my garden. I am grateful for the beauty and tranquility. I pause to pick a yellow daffodil. I then pick up the pace through the personal space in my garden to the Center. I am desiring to meet with the Master Gardener this morning. “Good morning Lord,” I say as I hand him the flower. “Good morning Krista, thank you!, he receives my gift. “Lord, yesterday did not go as I planned or thought. What happened and can we enjoy the fruits today?” “Yes we can and we did yesterday too. It was just the beginning. There was much progress in resisting and choosing my ways.” “Oh you are right. Thank you. Thank you for the growth. In the past things would not have been put down and the wrong fruits would have been planted. Thank you!” I smile with thanksgiving and in my broad brimmed hat I pick up my flower basket to pick more “fruit” of our labour.

As the day has gone by we have partaken of much fruit, flowers and many other fruits. I am so grateful for his work in me! He is so patient and constant!

  • Take these Burdens!

    Take these Burdens!

As I enter the Center of my Garden, I seek the Master Gardeners help right away. “Lord, please take these burdens I carried. They are not mine to carry and some are not mine to carry alone.” “Please help me to keep growing and keep proper boundaries. I trust the work you are doing and I know you see all. I yield to your working. Will you help me to not be deceived or confused? I want to be steady like you!” “Yes, now lay those burdens down at my feet and let’s get to the real work for today!” When he spoke there was a sparkle in his eyes and joy in his voice. And just like that I am reassured that he sees and hears me, that he really is working all things for my good. “Thank you Lord. What are we working on today?” “Joy and fruitfulness, let’s pick some fruit, shall we?” “Oh yes Lord.” And I let the sunshine in!

Something I want to share with you is all of this has been a process. I have been working through the first bit of this even late into the morning. I have just begun the working along side him now and can see the fruits will be enjoyed later today!

  • Sweet to be Counted a Friend!

Sweet to be Counted a Friend!

“Holy Spirit you are quiet this morning, or is it stillness?” It has made me draw closer and pay attention. I have a pleasant smile on my face and in my heart. “I anticipate your touch this morning.” The stillness of the Holy Spirit is what lead me to press in and look and listen closely. It eventually entered my physical surroundings to were there was no sound outside, not even a passing car.

After a pause I enter the Center of my Garden. “Good morning Lord, I love you!” “I love you,” he says with depth and passion. “Lord, is there a tear in your eye?” “Yes, Krista, there is.” Would you share what is on your heart with me? Is there a better question I should ask of you this morning?” “Pray!”, he commands. “Yes Lord!” We have been tilling the ground while we speak. And I get stuck in and join him at a more focused pace.

As the Lord spoke to me today I had the knowing that I was to begin by praying for the peace of Jerusalem, this was the first thing on his heart. Then I moved into other places and peoples and prayed for various things. I got a personal point to pray on next and as I listen I know there will be more. It is wonderful to partner with the Master Gardener. And how sweet to be counted a friend. May we continue to grow that we might mature into great friends of our Lord!

  • Instruction!

    Instruction!

“Good Morning Lord,” I say with a big smile. I look up into his eyes. “Good morning,” he smiles back. At the sight of his eyes and smile and I am put even more at ease, even in my body. Thank you for your touch, and your guidance. I need greater discernment and wisdom too.” “You are welcome and they are yours.” “I take a moment and receive them. “Lord is there any instruction on the Center of my garden today?” “Yes, pray and continue to prepare by my leading.” “Yes Lord!” “Lord is there any instruction for the personal space in the garden? And what about the outer space in my garden?” “I do have some instruction for those. Will you follow my lead and promptings today?” “Yes, Lord.” “Lead on and help me not to be spinning my wheels on distractions and get myself off on what you are not building and doing!” “I will” And it is time for coffee and fellowship before the days work begins.
